Summer Camp 2011

Tommie Lindsey
1800 H Street
Union City, CA 94587

April 19, 2011

Dear Parents and Students,

I am delighted that you and your child have expressed an interest to be on the James Logan Speech and Debate Team. I strongly encourage that students get a jump start on the competitive year by attending the Summer Academy. It is designed to hone skills for speech and debate.

We have almost two hundred members, and we believe that you will be a tremendous asset to our forensics team during the school year. Please fill out and mail the attached application form with a $240 deposit by May 1st . This will enable you to reserve your spot. Spaces are limited, so spots are filled on the fist come first serve basis. Priority is given to New Haven District students. If you are from outside of the district, please contact me directly, through email. The remaining balance of $240 is due on the first day of camp, June 22nd. Please note, that the full cost can be paid in advance. After we receive your registration, further information will be sent to you.

The summer camp will run from June 22nd until July 29th, Monday through Thursday, from 8:00 AM to 2:00PM, with the exception of holidays. For first year students, coaches will focus for the rest of the durtion of the camp. As a reminder, please get your form in by May 1st.

We encourage you contact us at any time with questions or concern through our email, jlhsforensics@gmail.com, and through our website where you can find all information, http://sites.google.com/site/jlhsforensics. I hope very much that you will decide to join the Speech and Debate team at James Logan.

Sincerely,
Tommie Lindsey
Director of Forensics
